Spring Beauty Guide!

Hey everyone! With just under a week until Spring, it's time to bring out the brighter colours, florals and start warming up! I cannot believe how quickly time is going this year - it will be Christmas before we know it! Today I am sharing with you my top beauty product picks for Spring this season! So let's take a look!

Makeup:
Rimmel London Colour Rush Lip Balm by Rita Ora in the shade 100 Give Me A Cuddle; a beautiful soft peachy pink shade and 500 Redder The Better; an opaque vibrant marily red. The formula on these are beautiful and so easy to apply with the crayon tip. These are perfect for spring and will get you wanted to bring out the bright, fun shades! (RRP $12.95, available from Priceline, Target, Kmart, Big W and pharmacies nationally)

Scent:
You can never have too many perfumes, because everyday we feel like something different right? So I think these 4 options will suit most people! From left to right: Ralph Lauren: Midnight Romance, Marc Jacobs: Daisy Dream, Chloe: Roses and Vanessa Megan: Autumn Afternoon (huh?).

Midnight Romance by Ralph Lauren (RRP $85 for 30ml, available from Myer and David Jones) is a gorgeous perfume with its main notes of pink peony and black vanilla. It isn't too sweet but has the perfume amount to leave you smelling fresh.
Daisy Dreams by Marc Jacobs (RRP $60 for 30ml, available from Myer and David Jones) can do no wrong in my eyes. I adore all Marc Jacobs perfumes and this one is no exception. It's main notes are jasmine, white woods and musk and is perfect for Spring.
Roses by Chloe (RRP $80 for 30ml, available from Myer and David Jones) - This perfume. . is literally roses in a jar. It is intensely sweet, smelling of roses and is so perfect to wear in the spring time. It's main notes are bergamot essence, rose damascena and grey amber but all I really smell is roses. It's perfect.
Autumn Afternoon by Vanessa Megan (RRP $29.95 available here) - I know this perfume even says Autumn in it, but for some reason I find it very appealing for Spring. It is very musky and warm with notes of mandarin, lavander, patchouli and peru balsam. This perfume is more like a spray and sprays at a wider diffusion. I love spraying this perfume just before bed and i've been having amazing sleeps during the night!

Nail Polish:
The Rita Ora collection by Rimmel has such great colours in it for Spring and here are my 3 favourite nail polishes from the collection. (RRP $7.95, available from Priceline, Target, Kmart, Big W and Pharmacies nationally).

Breakfast In Bed - A stunning aqua blue creme with micro silver shimmer. Stunning! This is 2 coats with no topcoat.

Lose Your Linger - A light pink creme with silver micro shimmer. This shade is so girly and pretty I love it. 2 coats here with no top coat.

White Hot Love - A bright white with silver shimmer undetones. Clean, simple yet done really well with great formula. This is 2 coats and no topcoat.

Here's some simple nail art I did using Rimmel - Breakfast in Bed over OPI - Turn On the Haute Light. It is super pretty and very Spring appropriate!

Skincare:
It's a change in season which means my skin is recovering from the cold, dry months and needs love! I couldn't go past trying a face tanner and this one by ModelCo is amazing. It has a 2-in-1 technology for an instant golden glow and a long lasting, natural self-tan. It is super hydrating and absorbs really quickly. I just pump the two pumps at the same time and rub the product together in my hands then evenly distribute it all over my face and neck. I have noticed how much healthier I look with a natural face tan and I love it! I can't wait for the warmer months now with this little gem! My tan usually lasts about 3 days until I have to re-apply again. (RRP $29.00, available here).

QV Face Gentle Cleanser - This bad boy is something I take with me everywhere, whether it be down to the Gold Coast for the weekend or on a weekend trip interstate. It is a holy grail skincare item that gently cleanses your face leaving it incredibly smooth afterwards. It's perfect to gently slough dead skin cells and can be used daily too! (RRP $12.95 from chemists nationally).

Shiseido Perfect Cleansing Oil - I have now introduced cleansing oils into my skincare routine as a regular thing! I have noticed immediate results from it and pimples occur less often and they heal much quicker now (going down over night and pimple scars diminishing over 2 days). I've been loving this lightweight cleansing oil from Shiseido because it effectively removes all my makeup and any dirt and grime left on my skin from the day. It can also be used on dry or wet skin which is great to use in the shower! (RRP $40, available in October from Myer and David Jones).

So what are your Spring beauty products you will be using? I'd love to know if you have any handy tips! Thanks so much for reading.

Kester Black - New Summer Colours + Trophy Wife Collab!

One of my favourite nail polish brands, Kester Black has released 4 new shades to her Summer Collection and 2 new collaboration shades with Trophy Wife Nail Art. Today I will be reviewing all 6 shades. I cannot get over how amazing the photos to show case them are! For me, the image below evokes so much imagination and inspiration and I love the style a lot. If you wanna see more photos of the new summer collection check it out here. Each photo shows 2 coats of each polish (unless stated) with no top coat. I also have to mention that the brushes are really good and thick, making it so much easier to give you that perfect arch around the cuticle. Check it out below!

Acid Nail Polish

Summer Collection Shades:

Acid - a gorgeous acid yellow/slightly chatreuse creme that only need 2 coats for full opacity. Such a cool, bright colour in person! Love this one!

Blush - A very soft pale pink/peach creme. Perfect formula.

Sky - A very light blue sky creme. This is such a dreamy shade and perfect for spring.

Violet - A bright pink toned mid purple creme. Arghh purples are so hard to photograph but this colour is more a lighter lavender/pink colour IRL. It remind me of Sation's - Love At First Lavender but just a tad darker.

Trophy Wife Collabaration Shades:

Sugar Daddy - A super dense, highly pigmented silver glitter polish. The first photo shows 1 coat and the second photo shows 2 coats. I could have easily gotten away with 1 coat! So pretty and sparkly in person.

Prenup - A pale purple/periwinkle creme. This colour was also very difficult to capture accurately. It's less blue and slightly more purple. It's so pretty.

These polishes are beyond amazing and I'm so excited to do some nail art with them - using inspiration from those amazing photographs I linked above! Which Kester Black polish is your favourite? I love Acid the most from these new colours as it's so different to anything I own! Thanks for reading and talk soon!

Orly - Smokey Collection

Hi guys! Hope your weekend is off to a great start! Today I will be showing you 2 colours from Orly's new Smokey collection. This collection features 6 dusty shades inspired by the smokey eye. The two colours i'll be showing you are Edgy; an antique bronze shimmer and Darkest Shadow; a black with red shimmer. I used 2 coats for each and applied SV topcoat. All formulas were a little on the thin/watery side but nothing a couple of thin coats can't fix! Orly retails for $18.95 and are available from selected pharmacies and salons nation wide, as well as online at www.orlybeauty.com.au. Hope you like these!

Edgy
Darkest Shadow
Also, here's some nail art I did using Edgy and two striping polishes (yellow and white). They all went so well together!

Will you be picking up any polishes from this collection? Let me know in the comments below! Thanks for reading and have a great weekend.

China Glaze Nail Art

Hey everyone! How is your week going so far? Time is flying by as usual. . before we know it Christmas will be around the corner! Today I have some simple nail art to show you using some new colours from China Glaze's Summer 2014 Off Shore Collection, as well as a glitter from their Surprise Collection. Here's a look at the nail art! I used 2 coats of I Sea The Point; a gorgeous navy blue creme, on the pinkie and ring finger, Feel The Breeze; a soft pastel pink creme, on the middle and pointer finger and added dots of the opposite colour on each. Then on my accent finger I dabbed on 1 coat of Don't Be A Flake; a really gorgeous large hex glitter mix of rose gold, baby blue and black. Hope you like it! :)

Gelicious Hybrid Gel Nail Kit Review

Hi guys! Hope you are well and had a great weekend! Today I am doing a post on the Gelicious Hybrid Gel Nail Kit for you. I've tried a lot of gel kits, some last quite well and some last not so well. I have a very descriptive, detailed blog post here that tells you about the different types of gels and how to get maximum wear out of your gel manis! This gel kit differs from regular ones because it is a soft gel that does not require a base coat or a maximum 3 minute cure time for each layer.

This is one of the faster gel kits i've used and only requires the gel colour you want to use, the top coat and 30 seconds for each curing layer! I really enjoyed using this product because not only do you not have to do a base coat (which saves you almost 9 minutes alone from ordinary soft gel kits) but you apply your chosen colour straight away (only taking 1 minute in total - I managed to cure all 8 fingers at once in the lamp, then the thumbs separately) and then your top coat (another 1 minute) and if you plus on the painting time and removing the tacky layer at the end it only really takes like 7 minutes in total! This product is definitely for people who don't like waiting for polish to dry or need a last minute manicure before an event or something!

Now for me, the time wear is never really that great because my current job entails a lot of peeling, lifting, pulling - pretty much any hand/nail activity you can think of so i'm lucky to just have length on my nails at all! And my hands/nails get extremely dirty from all the boxes i'm touching so I wash them at least 6 times a day! So yes, ideally, for a day to day basis this product is not good for me as it chipped and lifted after 2 days BUT, I am confident that if I wore this on a holiday or a weekend off work it would not fail to stay and look flawless!

This is the kit I tried out, it came with the lamp, top coat and my choice of colour (I chose Little Prince George, a super gorgeous periwinkle baby blue with white matte glitters through it). For $129 this is really cheap! There are so many different colours to choose from and they currently have 50% off their UV LED lamp so I highly recommend checking them out! Their website is http://gelicious-store.com/.

Here's a look at my nails during the week.

Day 2
Lifting on my thumb after 2 days.
Have you tried Gelicious? How does it last on you! I'm eager to know if anyone else who has a hand/nail heavy job has better wear or it's just me! Thanks for reading and speak soon!!
