OPI - 50 Shades of Grey Collection

Hi everyone! Hope you are having a great week so far. Today I have the 50 Shades of Grey collection to show you. This collection contains 6 polishes; 1 glitter, 1 metallic and 4 cremes. They are all seductive coloured nail polishes inspired by the film to be released this year! So who's going to see it?

All pictures show 2 coats of polish and no topcoat. I had no issues with application on any of them, but did notice Dark Side Of the Moon was almost more of a jelly than a full creme. Maybe a hybrid rather.
Let's take a look!

Cement The Deal - A very light blue toned grey creme. This applied perfectly and i'm so glad to finally have some great greys in my collection - is it just me or are they really hard to find!?

Embrace The Grey - A dark blue toned grey creme. This one was hard to photograph!

Dark Side Of The Moon - This polish is interesting. It is a dark dusty midnight navy blue and has the most subtle glitters/shimmers in it. It is hardly visible in the bottle let alone the nails!

Romantically Involved - A brown based medium toned red creme. It is a lovely shade.

My Silk Tie - A silver chrome polish which is slightly more sheer than a regular chrome.

Shine For Me - My favourite nail polish from the bunch - a silver based glitter with blue glitters through out it. This looks so amazing on your nails and sparkles like crazy!

Australia Day Nails!

Hey everyone! Today I have a quick post to show you. Yesterday was Australia day and my partner and I usually celebrate by swimming in the pool, having a BBQ with lots of lamb and listening to Triple J's Hottest 100 (from 11am until 7pm). It's a long but fun day! I wanted to show you the nails I had for the occasion yesterday. I used the same technique Sarah over at chalkboardnails.com used for the Side swept look. I used 1 coat of OPI - Alpine Snow, China Glaze - In The Lime Light and Kester Black - Bondi Rays. I finished it with 2 dots of Kester Black - Starflower on each nail, followed by 1 coat of G&G topcoat. Let me know what you think! Thanks for reading.

Current Favourites - January 2015!

Hi guys! Hope your week is going well so far. Today I have my current favourites to share with you! I've been trialling these products for over a month now and I feel they definitely need a place in my favourites category! So let's take a look at what they are!

Revitanail Nail Strengthener, Keratin Strengthening System and Hand & Nail Cream (All on sale at Chemist Warehouse for $25.69, $16.69 and $19.69 respectively) - I've been using this trio as a system and have noticed my nails growing super fast. Not only does it help them grow, but helps to strengthen and build a healthy nail plate. The Keratin Strengthening System is a gel formula that you rub into your cuticles. I apply 1 coat of the nail strengthener, gel on all cuticles and the hand and nail cream to seal it all in. My hands and nails love me now.

Here are some results of my nails for 3 weeks using this system.
Week 1
Week 2
Week 3

Shu Uemura Art of Hair - Cleansing Oil Shampoo, Conditioner and Essential Drops (RRP $73.00, $58.00 and $47.00 respectively, available from here). These decadently indulgent haircare products by Shu Uemura cleanse and condition my hair so gently and effectively. They smell amazing, like soft flowers and cedar wood oil. I love the pump bottle because it means I won't over use the product! The essential drops are to be used on your scalp. When I have just finished cleansing my hair with the shampoo and it is all rinsed out, I part my hair in the middle and apply 4-5 drops onto my scalp and rub it in. It helps to balance out your scalp and keep it revitalised and nourished. Everytime I wash my hair with these products, I feel like I'm at a really expensive spa or hotel. It is the perfect indulgence.

L'ancome Vernis in Love 560 Or Vendôme (RRP $31, available from David Jones and Myer). This beautiful gold colour by L'ancome has made it's way into my favourites because it has a perfect formula and amazing quality. It also suits my skin tone perfectly. J'adore! Photo's show 1 coat of polish with no topcoat.

Nude by Nature - Natural Mineral Cover (RRP $39.95 and $14.95 for the brush, available online here). I've finally found a foundation that I feel confident wearing daily and that I seriously love. This mineral powder gives you a perfect, airbrush finish and medium/full coverage. I can never seem to find my right shade when it comes to foundations and powders but this one matches my skin really well. This doesn't break out my skin, or make me look oil, or cakey, or washed out. I can't rave enough about this product. It has an SPF of 15 but doesn't give a white cast off it. . yay! I love using it with the brush as it is soft and blends really well. It has become a holy grail product for me and I will continue to use it for the rest of my make-up wearing life! I definitely recommend it!

Did you like this post? Let me know if you've tried any of these products before! Thanks for reading.

Orly - Sugar High Collection

Hi everyone! Today I have a new collection by Orly to show you. The new collection is called Sugar High and is limited edition. The 6 shades are named to give nostalgia to some sweet treats. Let's take a look at the 6 polishes. All images shown are with 2 coats of polish and no topcoat. These all applied really well and easily.

Sweet Dreams - This colour was the one I was most excited for in the collection. It's a really unique mauve/grey with really strong purple shimmers in it. This translates more of a purple in person than in the bottle. I really love this colour because I have nothing else like it in my collection.

Frosting - Is a sheer golden white. This is a bit streaky and I should of done 3 coats for the photos. It actually does remind me of frosting, with shimmers through it... mmmmm glitter.

Key Lime Twist - Another polish I was most excited about was this one also. This is a highlight yellow creme that is actually fully opaque on its own! It's slightly pastel too.

Cake Pop - This gorgeous pink toned nude creme applies so flawlessly. A perfect wedding colour I think!

Plum Sugar - A deep, vibrant grape purple creme. This is gorgeous.

Lastly, Candy Shop - another mauve-y purple creme but this one leans more towards a lighter purple. Very unique and subtle colour.

Which colour do you like the best? I really like the whole colour scheme on this collection, very girly and feminine! Thanks for reading.

OPI - Gwen Stefani Holiday 2014 Collection

Hey guys! Happy new year! Sorry it's been so long. I went to Sydney after Christmas and then pretty much went to Japan a week later - as well as being busy with clients and working! I'm now back from Japan and had such a great time there. I went skiing for 1 week and spent 4 days in Tokyo. I loved it so much - everything is so clean and organised well and they have so much amazing stuff! Surprisingly enough, there are hardly any Westerners travelling around which is kind of nice, it makes it very authentic and you feel as though you really are in a different part of the world!

Today I will be showing you the OPI - Gwen Stefani Holiday 2014 collection. I'm a bit slow to the game with this collection but thought i'd share it anyway! All swatches are 2 coats each (except the glitters being 1 coat), without a topcoat. They all applied effortlessly and perfectly as always with OPI.

Christmas Gone Plaid - A dark emerald green creme. I can't wait to wear this in winter!

Snow Globetrotter over Cinnamon Sweet - A medium to dark red creme. Snow Globetrotter is a gorgeous sheer glitter topper with white and iridescent glitters. It is super gorgeous.

I Carol About You - A beautiful plum creme with shimmers through it that give your nails that "lit within" look.

Comet In The Sky (over OPI - Copecobana) - This glitter is a sheer base with small black iridescent glitters, medium black glitters and copper, silver, light blue and dark blue hex glitters. It is super interesting and a different mix to most glitters out there. I love its uniqueness.
